Pastor Bobby Vitek has been at Holy Ghost Church since 1997, teaming as co-pastor with Rev. David Priem since 2001 and Rev. Clint Pluenneke since 2005. What he most appreciates about the people of Holy Ghost is their willingness to try new things for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
His favorite Bible verse is “Let your light so shine before others that they may see good works and give glory to the Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16). He believes that the Church is God’s instrument to a world that desperately needs the hope that Christ, the Savior, alone can provide.

Pastor Bobby is a life-long Lutheran, educated at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin and Wartburg Theological Seminary in Iowa. Hobbies include wine-making, canning, raising quail, and turkey hunting. He is married to Tammy who teaches fourth grade at FISD. The Viteks have two grown children: Katy, who is a pre-school teacher in College Station; and Andy, who is a 6th grade math teacher with the Cy-Fair ISD.
Pastor Bobby believes that the church’s greatest challenge today is to hold fast to traditional Lutheran teachings while at the same time discover innovative ways of being a relevant church.
