"The Children of Israel in the Land of Promise" is the title of this week's message. As Israel entered into the Promised Land there were some wonderful surprises and some shocking realities - not unlike the New Year! The Bible reading is from Joshua 1: 1-9.

Christmas Eve Candle Light Services will be offered at 5pm, 7:30pm, and 10pm on December 24th. The message is titled, "Silent Night?" Holy Communion is celebrated.
A Christmas Day Service will be offered at 9am on December 25th. This is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We will focus on what that birth means to us. Holy Communion is celebrated.

It is now the fourth week in Advent as we move closer in anticipation of celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary is uplifted this week and how her calling in Luke 1:26-38 is an example for how to respond to God's calling. The 10:30am service will again celebrate the Sunday School Christmas Program. Come and witness the Christmas story shared through the enthusiasm of our children's faith!

This is now the third week in Advent, as we move closer in anticipation of celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is He who brings new life. The message focuses on the Gift of Life which is so precious to us.

It's the second weekend in Advent as we continue to anticipate the coming of the Savior. The Saturday evening service will be in the Fellowship Hall as hot chocolate and tours of the Nativity will be offered. The Sunday worships will feature "Christmas in Mayberry" as the Andy Griffith cast from Lent will return for a special Christmas message.

This is the first weekend of the Advent season in preparation for the coming of Christ. We look at the figure of John the Baptist from Matthew 3: 1-12 and the message that he came to proclaim. The theme for the weekend will center around repentance.

The miracle story of the week is Christ "Feeding the Five Thousand" from John 6. We anticipate Thanksgiving Day and it is also "World Hunger Weekend." God's bounty in this Bible Story is unbelievable. May we celebrate His "horn of plenty" as we also share our resources with those in need.

The Women's Thankoffering Service is next Sunday, November 13 as the ladies will be worship leaders.

It is All Saints weekend, when we remember those who have died in this past year and celebrate the hope of the Resurrection. The message is based on the miracle of the "Raising of Lazarus" from John 11.
Time Change Reminder: The clocks "fall back" next Saturday, November 5. Set your clocks before bed so you can be "on time" to worship and Sunday School on Sunday!

Rev. Gemechis Buba, the NALC Mission Director, will be our guest pastor for all three services. Pastor Buba is an inspiring teacher, preacher, evangelist, and man of faith! God will speak to you through him!

We continue our series on Signs and Wonders by focusing on forgotten people. The story of the man who waited 38 years by the pool of Bethesda to be healed (John 5:2-18) is the message theme. This will be a healing service.
A FreeCycle will be held this Saturday, October 8, from 10am-1pm at the Fellowship Hall (8am-noon for drop off). A community garden meeting will follow at 2pm to discuss plans for a church garden.
